Fractional Resurfacing Lasers

Ablative CO₂ and non-ablative 1927/1550nm resurfacing

Choosing a resurfacing laser

Ablative and non-ablative resurfacing are different businesses, not different grades of the same one. A fractional CO₂ at 10,600nm removes tissue and is the more aggressive tool, with the recovery period that implies for the client and the consent process that implies for you. A non-ablative 1927nm or 1550nm platform leaves the skin surface intact and sells as a lunchtime treatment with a far shorter recovery. Clinics that buy one often buy the other within two years, because they serve clients who will not book each other's appointment.

On a CO₂ system, the tube is the specification that matters most for total cost of ownership. An RF-excited metal tube costs more up front and lasts considerably longer than a glass tube, which is a consumable with a service life measured in operating hours. If you are comparing two CO₂ machines and one is materially cheaper, the tube is usually where the difference is. Ask what a replacement costs and how long it is expected to last before comparing purchase prices.

Then check that pixel energy, density and scan pattern are independently adjustable rather than bundled into fixed presets. Independent control is what lets an experienced operator treat a delicate periorbital area and a thick acne-scarred cheek on the same machine, and it is the difference between a platform that grows with the practitioner and one they outgrow.

Fractional Resurfacing Lasers — what buyers ask

How much do fractional resurfacing lasers cost?
$15,900 to $21,900 depending on configuration, delivered to your practice in the US or Canada with operator training and a 12-month machine warranty included. Every price on this page is the price you pay — there is nothing added at delivery. We ship worldwide; other destinations are quoted before you order.
Do you sell to med-spas, or only to physicians?
We sell to businesses: med-spas, dermatology and cosmetic clinics, salons and training academies. The United States and Canada are our largest markets and we ship to most other countries. What a given machine may be used for, and by whom, is set where you practise — check your own scope of practice before ordering.
Can I see the price before speaking to a salesperson?
Yes. Every machine is priced openly on this site, and the configurator shows exactly what each option adds before you commit to anything. You never have to request a quote to find out what something costs.
