Choosing a multi-technology workstation
A combination platform makes sense when a clinic has one room and wants to sell several treatments from it, or is opening and cannot yet justify three separate trolleys. The trade is concentration: one console, one power supply and one cooling loop serve every handpiece, so a fault takes the whole menu down at once. Buy one for the breadth, and check how service and replacement parts are handled before you check the function count.
Read the cooling specification first. The diode and the IPL handpieces both put heat into the same system, and a console that combines water circulation with TEC or compressor cooling and a sapphire contact window is what lets the diode work a long list. Then read each handpiece as if it were a separate machine: wavelengths and spot size on the diode, the number of IPL filters, the tips and pulse energy on the Nd:YAG, and the needle depth range on RF microneedling.
Compare the pico handpiece like for like. On a combination platform it delivers high-energy pulses at 1064 and 532nm, plus 1320nm for carbon peel, through interchangeable fixed and zoom tips, and it costs a fraction of a dedicated tattoo laser. A dedicated platform adds a top-hat beam, an articulated arm and dye handpieces for green and blue inks. If tattoo removal is the centre of your business, buy the dedicated laser; if it is one of five things you sell, the combination platform is the better purchase.
Multi-Technology Workstations — what buyers ask
- How much do multi-technology workstations cost?
- $10,900 to $17,900 depending on configuration, delivered to your practice in the US or Canada with operator training and a 12-month machine warranty included. Every price on this page is the price you pay — there is nothing added at delivery. We ship worldwide; other destinations are quoted before you order.
- Do you sell to med-spas, or only to physicians?
- We sell to businesses: med-spas, dermatology and cosmetic clinics, salons and training academies. The United States and Canada are our largest markets and we ship to most other countries. What a given machine may be used for, and by whom, is set where you practise — check your own scope of practice before ordering.
- Can I see the price before speaking to a salesperson?
- Yes. Every machine is priced openly on this site, and the configurator shows exactly what each option adds before you commit to anything. You never have to request a quote to find out what something costs.
