1927nm sits on a water absorption peak roughly ten times higher than 1550nm, so its energy is spent in the epidermis and upper dermis where pigment lives. 1550nm passes deeper and creates columns of coagulation for dermal remodelling. Neither wavelength ablates tissue, so the stratum corneum stays intact and the downtime profile is different from a CO2 treatment. Running both from one console lets a clinic treat surface pigment and depth in the same visit. Energy at 1927nm is absorbed by water in the epidermis and upper dermis, forming inverted cone-shaped zones of coagulated tissue. Within a day those become microscopic epidermal necrotic debris, which migrates to the stratum corneum and sheds within about seven days while the healthy epidermis beneath regenerates — which is why the surface stays intact and the downtime profile differs from an ablative CO2 treatment.

- How much does a 1927nm thulium laser machine cost?
- The LumaQ Pro is $24,900 delivered to your practice in the US or Canada, and from $21,000 in its entry configuration. That is the final price: delivery, operator training and a 12-month machine warranty are included, and there is nothing further to pay on arrival. Outside the US and Canada we quote delivery before you order.
- Are there any extra costs on delivery?
- No. In the US and Canada the price on the page is the final price. Delivery and all import costs are already paid, and the machine arrives at your practice and is uncrated on site. There is nothing to pay when it arrives.
- How long does delivery take?
- Typically 12 to 15 days from dispatch by dedicated air freight, plus one to three days to prepare your order once payment clears.
- What warranty comes with the LumaQ Pro?
- Twelve months on the machine from delivery, with replacement parts supplied free for manufacturing and component failure. Handpieces and applicators carry three months, as they are the wearing parts. Damage caused in use is not covered.
- Is training included?
- Yes. Operator training is included with every machine and is delivered online by our technical team, with your questions answered directly. One-to-one clinical training can be arranged as well.
- How do I pay for it?
- By wire transfer against a proforma invoice. You place the order on the site and we send the invoice with payment instructions. You can pay in full, or pay 50% before we prepare your order and the other 50% once it is ready to ship. The price is the same either way.
