A pulsed magnetic field induces a current in motor neurons, which contract the muscle without the client contracting it voluntarily. At 1-150 Hz the machine covers everything from individual twitch through to sustained tetanic contraction, and the large applicators run to 5.8 T. Four applicators means abdomen and both flanks, or glutes and thighs, in one 30-minute placement rather than three sequential ones. The RF option adds heating on the same handpiece.
